Intergenerational Cultural Education Among Tibetans in Minnesota (ICET-MN)*

We are excited to announce the launch of “Intergenerational Cultural Education among Tibetans in Minnesota” (ICET-MN) fellowship, which will bring together 15-20 Tibetan students across high school and undergraduate stages. The ICET-MN fellowship will comprise of series of interactive educational sessions focused on Tibetan culture over the course of 2025. The program’s primary aim focuses on building capacity for the future of Tibetan scholars and leaders rooted in Tibetan cultural values and practices, including but not limited to Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and psychology, contemplative practices, language, history, medicine, astrology, arts, and music.

We encourage applicants with educational interest in different facets of Tibetan cultural knowledge from different stages of high school and undergraduate education. Selected candidates will have an opportunity to work closely with the program faculty.

Important Dates

  • Application Deadline: March 29, 2025
  • Announcement of ICET-MN Fellows: April 2, 2025
  • Sessions Schedule: April – Dec. 2025 (specific dates & venues to be announced soon)

Participant Requirements

  • 10-month commitment to participate in every bi-weekly session in the program, April through December 2025.
  • Engage in interactive class dialogue with faculty and peers.
