Aftab Hasnain High School Scholarship – 2025
The TAFM Aftab Hasnain Scholarship was created in memory of Aftab Hasnain to support young individuals on their journey to college. The TAFM Aftab Hasnain Scholarship awards $1,000 to three Tibetan high school seniors in Minnesota who will be attending college in Fall 2025.
To Apply: Candidates must submit a scholarship application to the TAFM Office or via email to office@tafm.org before essay competition on Saturday May 3, 2025 1:30 – 2:30 at TAFM St. Paul. Interviews will be conducted after the essay competition.
The winners will be announced on the last Saturday of June.
Eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must be attending college for their first year in Fall 2025.
- If the applicant is 18 years old, they must also provide their up-to-date TAFM membership dues. If the applicant is under 18, at least one of the parents must be up-to-date on their TAFM membership dues (2025).
Dr. Miriam and Mr. Michael’s Tibetan Summer Program Scholarship 2025
Mr. Michael Ormond and Professor Miriam Cameron have made this scholarship with the hope of encouraging Tibetan students to strengthen their ties to the Tibetan community worldwide and to lead a purposeful life.
TAFM will award $500 scholarships to four students attending a Tibetan Summer Program in India.
Past Students have attended:
- 2025 TCV Summer Camp (ages 10-16) Program duration: July 1 – August 15, 2025
- Summer Tibetan Study Program at College for Higher Tibetan Studies (CHTS) (ages 17+)
Other Summer Tibetan Programs in India may also be considered upon review.
